TO DREAM

 To dream

just within your means

is no dream at all.

It is a breath in a coffin,

a step on the grave,

a sprint to putrefaction,

and a swim toward oblivion.

To dream

just the easy option

is no dream at all.

It is forging the obvious,

sketching the completed,

revising the evident,

and adoring the wasted.

To really dream

is to live amidst deaths,

to rise amidst falls,

to fight amidst surrenders

and to fly toward the rain

of fire.

Yes, to really dream

is to have a steely resolve

to realize the unfeasible –

whatever it shakes or breaks

in this selfish, arrogant and

cold present.
